Parking
The race expo is located at the Southeast Pavilion of the Park. Free parking is available throughout the park. See image below:
Course Surface
Both courses are on 100% concrete with the exception of some foot bridges made of wood composites.
Course Support
At each water station, you will find water and an electrolyte replacement drink. There are three aid stations on the 13.1 course that you will pass a total of six times. They are located approximately miles 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11.
Gels (GU brand) are available by request at the westernmost aid station
Although there are cups on the course at each aid station, remember that we always maintain a "CUP FREE FINISH." There are coolers for refilling your personal water bottle at the expo area.
Portajohns
Restrooms are located at the Expo area. There is access to restrooms/portojohns along the course as well.
Course Cut Off
The Half Marathon finish line closes at 10:40 AM, 3 hours 10 minutes after the regular 7:30 AM start.
Half Marathon participants who reach the westernmost aid station at approximately mile 6 after 8:55 AM may be directed to turn around at that location and return to the finish rather than continuing to the official Half Marathon turnaround.
This early turnaround is used so participants can return to the finish area on their own before the course closes. Runners who are turned around early will not receive an official Half Marathon finish result.
Participants who expect to need more than 3 hours 10 minutes should use the 6:30 AM early start and follow the early-start instructions on the Race Day Schedule page.
Dogs and Strollers
Dogs are welcome! We just ask that they are kept on a short leash and you start off to the side or near the back as to not impede other racers.
Strollers are welcome at the Longmont Half and 5k! We just ask that you start off to the side or near the back as to not impede other racers.
